海國圖志(21)
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
While 'Haiguo Tuzhi' is a foundational text of 19th-century Chinese history and is frequently cited in scholarly literature, no complete English translation of the entire 100-scroll work exists. Catalog searches and academic references indicate that only excerpts, prefaces, and specific sections have been translated for inclusion in sourcebooks and monographs (such as those by de Bary, Teng & Fairbank, and Jane Kate Leonard). A full translation of this massive work would be a significant scholarly milestone and is not currently found in major catalogs.
